Starting Jiu Jitsu can feel intimidating—especially in a mixed environment. Our Women's Jiu Jitsu program is designed to remove those barriers and provide a supportive, welcoming space where women of all experience levels can engage in self-defense training with confidence.
Led by Coach Bec Johns, these classes focus on building real self-defense skills, enhancing physical confidence, and mastering technical Jiu Jitsu in an encouraging, pressure-free environment. Whether you are stepping onto the mats for the first time or returning after some time away, you will be supported every step of the way.
A Safe, Supportive Training Environment
Our women’s martial arts classes are friendly, inclusive, and ego-free. Students train alongside others who understand the challenges of starting out and are there to support one another—not intimidate.
Because these classes are typically smaller than our mixed classes, students benefit from:
- More individual coaching and guidance
- Clear explanations and structured learning
- A relaxed pace without pressure or judgement
Gi & No-Gi Training
Classes are offered in both Gi and No-Gi, following a similar curriculum to our mixed program. This ensures students learn:
- Fundamental positions and escapes
- Practical self-defense techniques
- Control, leverage, and efficient movement
- Confidence under pressure
Training in both styles gives students a well-rounded understanding of Jiu Jitsu and how to apply it in real-world situations.
More Than Just Training
Beyond the techniques, our Women’s Jiu Jitsu program is about:
- Building confidence on and off the mats
- Developing resilience and self-belief
- Feeling strong, capable, and empowered
You don’t need to be fit, flexible, or experienced to start—just willing to give it a try.
Your first class is free. Come train, learn, and grow in a space built for you.
